P-Day with the Chapmans
P-Day. We studied scriptures, English and Portuguese, and got ready, then went to Porto, picked up the Chapmans and brought them back here with us. To show them our place, town, etc. They've not been outside of Porto and its bairros (neighborhoods) before. They loved the countryside as we do. We showed them the apartment, had lunch, and by then it was raining pretty good, so we toured São João da Madeira, then went to Feira and circled the castle. Back to Porto in the hardest rainstorm yet while here—a real gully-washer. We shopped at the Continente and bought some more stuff we need (Will this never end?). Then to their place and soon return home and the rain had mostly stopped. We spent the rest of the day planning our future work—getting settle on what we were and weren't told, what we can and can't do, what we must do next and then next, etc. Lot's of planning goes into our assignment from here on, and we'll need to have a lot of special sit-down sessions.
