Another beautiful day. We studied Portuguese, talked a lot about our decisions. We did some shopping. Went to the library and checked out a couple of books and some language tapes. They appear to be helpful. Then in the afternoon we received materials from the MTC—Jay Jensen. Tape and booklet. The booklet looks helpful but the tape is Brazilian Portuguese (no good). Called Susan tonight. Kimball has had pneumonia, but is getting along well now. I tried to read Michener’s book “Iberia”, from the library, but found it was not at all what I wanted. Very little about Portugal, and just a glorified travelogue.
